Mount Tarampa Fruit Trees (Popular)
Mount Tarampa Fruit Trees and the most popular plants Australians buy for mail order. With fruit trees you should consider climate suitability.
Longan - Chompoo
$99.00 ($69.00-$99.00 choose a size)
A Thai variety with large, high quality fruit with a faint pink tinge in the flesh. Relatively small seed. Longans are closely related to Lychees, and are highly regarded in Thailand. Generally hardier and quick growing than the lychee.
Loquat - Nagasakiwase
$59.00 ($59.00-$99.00 choose a size)
The best Japanese variety so far, it has deep orange flesh, high flesh/seed ratio and very sweet flavour. Earliest variety to ripen. Thinning fruit will enhance fruit size. The Nagasakiwase often has 2 crops a year in the subtropics. The first crop in April / May then again in August. We have found by cincturing in summer, the August crop has a much larger crop and better fruit size.
Jacaranda - White Grafted
$49.00 ($49.00-$99.00 choose a size)
A beautiful white flowering form of jacaranda. A spectacular choice for a street tree or large shade tree. Long lived trees that can grow to be 200 years old. Flowers appear in late spring and early summer. Grafting ensures flower will be pure white. The foliage is delicate on young trees, and our potted plants are known for their older leaves to turn yellow and drop during transport to conserve energy. This is not a problem long term. With care and acclimatisation they will bounce back
Plum - Gulf Ruby
$49.00
Juicy, yellow flesh, clingstone, large size if properly thinned, attractive red skin blush, resistant to bacterial spot. Very low chill 275 hrs. Pollinator Gulf Gold
Mandarin - Emperor
$39.00 ($39.00-$39.00 choose a size)
The fruit has a pale orange skin that is inclined to be puffy. Excellent flavour however the fruit can be prone to drying if harvest is delayed. Loose skin that is very easy to peel. Most popular mid season variety.
