Botanical Name: Citronella moorei

A large tree to 50m, easily identified in the rainforest by the extraordinary twisting, fluted trunk which is quite often crooked. The bark is fissured and corky. This beautiful tree grows from Batemans Bay in the south to the tropical rainforests in Mossman, Queensland. The fruits are eaten by Green catbirds and Wompoo Fruit Doves.
