STRAWBERRY

Starwberry Fruit PlantsBotanical Name: Fragaria virginiana
Description

One of the best fruits for small space, strawberries are perfect for pots and patios.  The name strawberry is often thought to come from the fact that a mulch of straw is perfect to keep the fruit off the ground, however it more likely originates from the old name strewn berry referring to the fact that the runners love to spread themselves from the parent plant.  A delightful fruit used in desserts and sauces, but always best picked and eaten straight from the garden.

Strawberry - Lowanna

This is a highly productive selection that is suited to cool climate in NSW and Victoria. The fruits are uniformed in size, large, red and glossy. Fruit is light red in colour. PBR Unauthorised or unlicensed commercial propagation or any sale, conditioning, export, import or stocking of propagation material of this Variety is an infringement under the Plant Breeders Rights Act 1994.
