Fruitylicious1 says... Hi Anne There are a few reasons why trees drop their flowers abnormally. Firstly during Survival mode when there is drought or excess water, secondly when the tree is ill and is weakened, thirdly some fruit trees bear biennially- meaning some years are aplenty some years are lean, chemical overspray especially herbicide can also affect flowering and lastly, may be it's not getting the right micro nutrients to sustain the flowers into fruits like sulphate of potash. I don't know if any of the aforementioned condition applies to your tree. Only you can be the judge.
