Hi, we have some apple/pear trees in yard in rental property. They started to fruit a few mths ago and look like small pears - green with some red/brown.I've just noticed some slimy dark green caterpillars on the leaves, at first I thought it was translucent bird poo! any ideas as to what the caterpillars are and how to get rid of them?

Hi Jodie,
if they're slimy, try throwing dust or dirt on them.
