BJ says... If you have the space for a large avocado tree, then Hass will do fine in the Western Suburbs. If your soil is the hard clay and shale like at my father's property, its worth importing some soil to build a raised mound and plant on top of that to increase draining and the overall helth of the plant. | About the Author Theposterformerlyknownas Brisbane 24th April 2012 11:41am #UserID: 3270 Posts: 1552 View All Theposterformerlyknownas's Edible Fruit Trees |

BJ says... Have a bit of a read of this brochure. It will give you a feel for the size of the varieties and some instructions for planting better than I could: http://www.sunraysianurseries.com.au/library/file/466.pdf | About the Author Theposterformerlyknownas Brisbane 24th April 2012 12:16pm #UserID: 3270 Posts: 1552 View All Theposterformerlyknownas's Edible Fruit Trees |
