Black mulberry flowering in June (Melbourne)

Hi, I have a semi-dwarfing Hicks Fancy which is flowering now, also seems to be putting all it's new leaves out. Is this because autumn in Melbourne was so warm? Is it happening to anyone else? Should I prune now?
I planted the tree in October 2014 and it grew beautifully that spring/summer. Then in August 2015 it flowered and got it's new leaves very early before the frosts came and they set it back. It didn't grow much over summer but looked healthy. Lost most of it's leaves in May but now seems to think it's spring.
Any insights appreciated.
