Devon says... I planted one of these about 5 years ago, in a very shady spot. It has just got up into the sunlight, and has fruit ( about 40mm dia at this point) for the first time There are no other black sapotes (or any other types of persimmons), as far as I know, in the vicinity, so it appears to have self-pollinated.
