Black Sapote

    3 responses

I bought this Black Sapote over 5 years ago (from Bunnings in WA). It flowered last year but no fruit. It is flowering again this year. I have no idea if it is grafted or seedling, or which variety I have.
MY QUESTION - based on the photo of the flowers - do you think I have a self-fertilising variety, or just a male variety? Do I need to buy another tree and if so, any advice on what?

You will need two black sapotes to cross pollinate then you'll get fruit from both trees
