Hi Aks

Most certainly, you can grow camellia sinensis in Victoria. There is a commercial tea tree plantation (C. Sinensis) in Vic in the Alpine region near Wangaratta. The main variety that they grow are Yabukita and Sayama Kaori cv's, both Japanese strains. Grow a few of them in the home garden so that you can have reasonable harvest in due time.

Happy gardening :-)
