Luke Turner starts with ...
Just once again looking for clarification what is this one. Looks kinda like a turmeric but I'm unsure

It certainly looks like turmeric to me. Some varieties are yellow and some are a deeper orange. The orange variety is said to contain more of the curcumin that has active properties. You would have to slice through a rhizome to find out.
