Pauline says... Well first off, 'they' say you shouldn't let your tree keep any fruit for the first couple of years so it can focus all it's energy on becoming a strong tree. I am not good at that one. :-) Fertilising I tend to used the Osmocote prills, the ones for citrus and fruiting trees. I put this one twice a year, but the packet tells you what to do. Then when the plants are getting ready to flower I mix up thrive, the one for fruit and flower, so they have everything they need. I add compost to the top of the pot (home made, not bought) and more of the liquid feed every three weeks or so when they have fruit. That is pretty much what I do for all of them and it seems to work well. | About the Author Pauline Adelaide 24th November 2011 7:38pm #UserID: 1532 Posts: 293 View All Pauline's Edible Fruit Trees |
