Chinese Rosen Tree (forum)

My wife was given a sample to taste at a local markets. It is an interesting fruit(?)But when I tried to find it on the net I struck out. Can any one help with where to find out about this tree? It was called a "Chinese Rosen Tree" but the name given regarding another fruit was close but not the same as the name from the net, so some variation is possible. It has a twiggy look but the fruit are thick, for twigs, with a flavour of walnut and apple although a friend described it as almost sun dried tomato.

Thanks Kath.
That looks like the one. The chap at the markets got it wrong a little, just enough to muddy the waters. Interesting tree and fruit.
Cheers
