Kath says... Yes peaches and nectarines both have lovely pink flowers, the dwarf peach puts on a beautiful show each spring. If you have room for a climber the fragrant and giant grandillas passionfruits have the most gorgeous flowers which are heavily scented with a heady spicy perfume, although these are better suited to warmer climates.

Kath says... The nectarine I have in my orchard in and the picture above is a Sunraycer, this is a low chill variety and is not suitable for the Victorian climate because it breaks bud and fruits too early in the season for southern climates. My tree is already covered in tiny fruits in mid to late August, I will be eating these in October. Nectarine - Necta Red Peach - Dwarf Valley Red Angel Peach - High Chill are suitable species for your Victorian climate Wendy. | About the Author Kath Cawongla 21st August 2008 9:48am #UserID: 2 Posts: 363 View All Kath's Edible Fruit Trees |

Wendy says... Thankyou Kath. I had a closer look at the Nectarine trees that I have and it looks like they are pink after all, I have been here five years, you would think I would know the color of the flowers! oh well we all make mistakes. I might try the Dwarf Vally Red Peach as it sounds nice and I only have Nectarines. | About the Author Wendy4 Victoria 27th August 2008 9:17pm #UserID: 1236 Posts: 3 View All Wendy4's Edible Fruit Trees |
