Cross polination

Fijoa and Guava starts with ...
Please can you tell me what the difference is between a Feijoa and a Guava, and would they cross pollinate? Would I be able to espalier a Medlar?

Different species Janet, pretty sure they would not cross-pollinate. Feijoas often self-fertile (at least partially)..do you have named varieties or generic feijoas from regular nursery?
