custard apples (forum)

G'day - I am looking for an 'old fashioned' Custard apple which was/is very widely grown around this area. It generally produces a smaller fruit and the protrusions on them are more uniform and rounded than the African Pride types. I've got a feeling that they are called sweetsops, although I may be wrong. For mine, they are far superior taste and are creamier that the African pride, but have more seeds, which is probably why you dont see them for sale at the grocers. Do Daleys sell seedlings of these? if not, do you think that seeds would grow true to type? Thanks

They come from Daleys, a bit small but apparently they fruit very early.
Apparently they grow true to type from seed. I bought some seed off Ebay 6 months ago but Im sure the seller is a bit unscrupulous. Its not the first time I ve bought seed from this guy and nothing has germinated. So I bought a plant from Daleys, its starting to loose it s leaves since the weather has cooled.
