Do Possums Come to Native Trees? (forum)

Hi, I am thinking of planting my Protea Pink Ice and Sanorita out on the nature strip as my garden is getting overcrowded with pots.

Does anyone know if these trees attract possums? I know they attract native birds which is nice but I dont welcome possums (though they are cute-looking haha)as they will also come to my fruits.

Not sure about the Protea, but they love my Golden Penda... Every night in the warmer months they are up there eating the flowers, doing whatever else it is that they do, then break-falling onto my roof.

The other side of the roof has an Inga tree, which they also love, so my roof is a possum highway in Spring and summer. I dont mind that much though, as I can sacrifice a little bit of sleep and the odd ice cream bean if it keeps them full and less interested in the fruits in the yard, which it seems to be doing so far...
