Dragon Fruit vine clusters

We want to start planting our vines but now sure how many vines should be planted together to form a cluster of vines that you typical see with Dragon Fruit. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Why do you need to support them unless there growing in the wrong direction and u then use stakes to support a change. Ihave four and they are seperate and all different and unquie in there own nature.
