Dragon fruit

Hi,everybody.I have question about dragon fruit.I have frosting period in winter, so I must put Dragon fruit in the house.Its growing bigger, so putting dragon fruit in house soon will be problem.I have found this picture on internet.Can I just cut dragon fruit to this size?Will be any effect on growing fruit on the plant in future ?thanks

I've seen that pic before too, I think it comes from Thailand or Vietnam. I too would love to know how they get them to fruit when they are so small. Most of the dragonfruit I've seen have to be much larger in size before they will fruit.

Danny,it is just for decoration and the best fruiting ends of plants are cut,bundled and put in pots.They are not plants that were growing in the pots.The stems have to hang down to fruit and those in the pic are turned to be upright.

My two pinks are in small pots. each is smaller then 3 feet and both have fruit set, some of the arms fruit have set on are upright and around 1 foot. Still, the images pictured are ornamental arrangements.

That's not cheats. The dragon fruit plants were sold like that for decoration on Tet holidays in my country, Vietnam. Everyone who buys these plants knows that they're ornamental arrangement. It has some meanings like best wishes through a new year for Vietnamese people.
