Dragonfruit (forum)

Hi there, I was given a dragon fruit plant as a gift several years ago and it started to produce flowers this year (yay!) but there’s a problem. I’m a rookie and I have no idea what kind of dragon fruit this is. I did some research and tried to hand pollinate them. It all looks well until the 8-9th day. The flower bud turns yellow and then falls off. Do I need to find another dragon fruit plant to pair it up with? Does anyone know what I can do? Thank you in advance.

This is a list of which varieties are self fertile and which are not. Most likely you'll need another plant to cross pollinate

Your best bet may be to buy a newer pollinator variety with some self pollination ability as a partner to pollinat it.

Thank you! We purchased another variety via Daleys fruit recently so fingers crossed for the next fruiting season.
