I have a dwarf fig tree.It has no trunk showing and many branches coming out at ground level which then form roots where they touch the ground. Do I just prune off the offending branches and hope new more erect branches will grow?
It is a Black Genoa variety.

Hi Tonyh
B. Genoa is not a dwarf fig. It is a big tree if you grow in ground. You need to load up a photo of your tree and leaf so I can give you a correct advice. Cheers

The label says Black Genoa Fig Dwarf Variety grows 205 metres only. Suit pots or in ground planting.
It is currently under nets for fruiting but will send a pic in the next few days.
