Dwarf mulberry

ALB starts with ...
My dwarf mulberry which is about 3 years old and about 2 m high has curled up leaves overnight and looks like it is dying. What might be the problem. Soil is still damp.

Not a bit if green new growth but scraping the branches shows the layer underneath is green. Has been well watered but not over watered.
