Dwarf Papaya Torpedo - Leaves Appear Dry (forum)

Hi,
I have had this Dwarf Papaya Torpedo plant in a container for two months, and recently the leaves are appearing dry with pronounced / raised veins.
The leaf stems are not wilting, I'm just concerned about this condition and does anyone have advice how can I improve my plant?
I have stopped watering for a week in case I had given it too much water and will be looking to buy some plant food.
Thanks all!
Paul
