After a couple of years my finger lime has sprouted new flowers and is fruiting. Hopefully they will not get knocked off with the heavy rain (again).

Roger the fruit, leaves and flowers look somewhat bigger than the indigenous finger limes. Is it one of the newer hybrids that you're growing?

It is one of the hybrid varieties that I bought from a local nursery. Since the cyclone came through, all of the flowers have dropped, however there are fruit on the tree. Some have turned yellow and dropped, but there are still plenty that are holding on. I hope that I will finally get a full grwon fruit from the tree this year.

After having my hopes raised by the welcome flowering and numerous small fruit on my trees, the heavy rain has come and knocked the majority off. The only saving grace has been the fact that tree is continuing to flower. The larger fruits have not suffered so hopefully will have some ready soon.

I have another finger lime that is a different tree to this one, same age, but it refuses to flower. It is growing well and has the same attention as the other one. Any Ideas?
