fruit trees alluvial soil (forum)

Hi there,
wondering about the best fruit trees to plant on alluvial (flood plain) soil around on the North Coast NSW? I can prep the ground for citrus etc but wondering about other fuit trees that naturally do better on heavier soils? Ph around 5.4, clay. Black Sapote is doing well so far for eg, and candlenut, flame tree, Poinseana etc to give you an idea......

Hi,
Jaboticaba is naturally found on floodplains.
If you're growing citrus you can grow pretty much anything. Just be wary of root/collar rot especially with citrus and avocado. Pick any stonefruit based on the number of chill hours you get.
Depending on the microclimate you're playing with, on the north coast you can grow virtually any type of fruit tree other than cherry.
