Attention Mark

Good evening. I was outside howling at the moon last night when your message came about your gratifying guabiyu, Myrcianthes pungens. In that message you sent me pictures of your Guabiyu tree having flowers and I would like to know more about how you did that.

My tree, which was grown from the same lot of seeds and is the same age, has not yet flowered as you can see from the pictures below, although it seems happy enough and producing some new pink foliage. Both our trees are about 4 years old I think and Myrcianthes pungens are said to start fruiting from 3 to 5 years, so I think that my tree should also be flowering now.

It is well over 1 metre high so could you please advise what size your tree is currently. Could you also advise if your tree is in full sun or shade and what fertilizers you use on it, how often, etc. I've got another batch of seedlings coming up from last seasons seeds so it will be good to have some spare plants in case of any mishaps although I find them very slow to get going at first.

Look forward to hearing your remarks. Thank you.
