growing tea

Hi, I've recently purchased a tea plant. I've read there are 2 sub sp of C. sinensis, one being better adapted to cooler regions (subsp. sinensis), the other better in tropical. Can you tell me the growing conditions required for the type you have sold me? I live near the coast just south of Adelaide.
