Is it the actual leaf turning white, or is there a powder or other substance on the leaf?

If it the the prior, then it is likely a deficiency or a response to sun shock. For a deficiency, add the right nutrient, you can find guides online for this. For sun shock, just regular watering and perhaps placing it in a more protected area.

If it is a mildew or powder or other substance, something like white oil or a fungicide could work.

The actual leaves are turning white. You were right, a local horticulturist suggested a liquid with chelates in it. It worked a treat, 2 weeks later & there's lovely, new green shoots. Thanks so much for your advice

I have the same problem with some Chinese Jackfruit leaves turning white that has been bugging me for the past year. The actual leaves are white, there is no coating or powder on them.

So would like to know what kind of chelates product you used as I would like to try it as well and hopefully it will solve this problem. Could you please tell me the name of the chelate liquid. Thank you.
