Everyone tells me that they grow like weeds in these parts (Northern NSW) with little to no attention needed. However every little plant we've nurtured wilts and dies.... perhaps I should ignore them? Just like getting the kids to sleep at night ~ I've never been much good at that either :-)

Thanks guys - it tooks us a few days to get through it but we got there in the end :)

Karen & Paul - paw paw require little attnetion accept to give them good drainage. Ours are planted on a slope and we keep them on the dry side during the cooler months. Also, apparently they dislike beinging transplanted so plant them out when very young and be careful not to disturb the roots when doing so.
