I live in Sydney but am planning to relocate to Manila Philippines. How many days does a cut piece of Bowen mango ready for grafting on to a native mango tree there keep without dying out. The travel time is about 15 hours all up. Can i wrap the cutting in a moist paper towel?? Can I also do this for a lemon cutting? Hope you can advise me. Thank you.

Do a test locally, get a series of cuttings off a tree, say 20, keep som dry , wrap some in wet paper, do this over longer and longer time intervals. then re graft then to another local tree see which ones work. eg you might have a range of cuttings that are kept wet and all cut at the same time , but , grafted 3 hours apart , iguess you will find that grafts that are done earlier will be more successfull, and the later ones less so . jus make sure that you target time gframe eg time it takes to cut store fly to destination upac set up and graft is somewher in the middle of you test times. otherwise see if you can import a potted tree direct. grow it up then graft.
