Lachlann says... There are only two reasons I can think of. A stressed tree, or lack of pollination. Persimmons are complicated sexually and some varieties do require pollination. You haven't mentioned the variety you have, maybe the tag has been lost? Assuming you are looking after the tree well, and you are really keen for it to fruit, then another tree might help.
