Just discovered I have a kaffir plum growing in our yard. Heard you can make jam/jellies from their fruit. Has anyone made any or have a recipe?

Kaffir plum is used in some indian curry recipes. We all like eating them straight from our trees...odd - not a 'first class" fruit by any means - but well liked by most of my family and visitors for some reason!?

I have two of these trees in 600mm tubs, and am hoping that the trees are male and female, does anyone know if one will bear fruit if the other is 20 metres away? And do bees frequent the flowers?

Well my female tree is 15-20m away from it's nearest 'friend' and has fruit - so u should be fine. They fruit very young here - maybe younger than a year? But would allow 2yrs max in a cooler climate.
Heaps of fruiting specimens in town and no other trees nearby - so >20m probably ok too. Don't know what pollinates - have never bothered to watch myself.
I have 5 trees and only 1 fruiting so far. U may get lucky with just 2.
So far - no fruit fly probelms (Med fly)

I used the juice one year with Sure Jell to make the soft-set freezer jam. I enjoyed it very much. I've never made "real" jelly because you need to determine the pectin in the juice, and I've never bought the gin to combine with the fruit juice to determine the naturally occurring pectin.
