I get the impression that fruit fly are a problem for loquat unless you get an early fruiting vaariety. Can someone advise which varieties taste good and are early fruiting. Tony...

They are all early fruiting. What they mena in regard to fruit fly is get the fruit to ripen EARLY in the season before they fly breeds up.
