mattjlt starts with ... Hi, I have a grafted luisa plum that is about two metres tall, is healthy, has lots of new growth but has not set a single fruit. It's a bit over two years old now which i know is fairly young, but it has had hundreds of flowers, which shed the petals and left tiny little fruit buds but not a single one stayed on there to set fruit. Meanwhile my nectarine tree right next to it has set fruit, which i am taking as an indication it's not environmental stress. I am assuming that it has not successfully pollinated? This variety is meant to be self fertile, but i am thinking it may not be? Does anyone know of a good pollinator for the "Luisa" plum? I can't find anything as all references just say "self fertile" thanks, Matt. | About the Author mattjlt Cessnock 2325 NSW Australia 15th October 2020 12:43pm #UserID: 24505 Posts: 1 View All mattjlt's Edible Fruit Trees |
