Hi, i have problem with my mandarin tree. i bought this imperial mandarin tree 4 years ago. since then, once the tree wants to go taller then all of the leaves suddendly drying out and dropped off before flowering.
Now it looks green until last week i can see some leaves on the top seems dry and curly. some of them already dropped :( its about 1m tall only after 4 years... i dont think this is normal... eventhough i just plant it in a huge pot.
i keep fertilize and put citrus plant food twice a year. and seasol complete garden health and seasol power feed. and water them once every 2-3 days.
can anyone help me in this? i really dont know what causing this as i use the same fertilizer, plant food and seasol to cumquote tree but they are so healthy and give alot of flowers and fruits.

It seems maybe the new growth may have been burnt off during the hotter days we've had over summer. I'd stop fertilizing your tree until you have some well established new growth which has hardened off a little, maybe wait until spring to allow it to recover. Sometimes excess salts can build up in confined pots and cause the roots to burn, especially if there is not much top growth.
