Mango Tree Advice (forum)

Gday Everyone.
I live in North Queensland and am having an issue with my mango trees.
The new growth on some of the shoots are coming out dark, dry and shrivelled.
I have sprayed them with pest off for the bugs but I think I need some other treatment advice for a fungus or something along those lines.
Ive had the oldest and biggest tree just under 12 months.
I look forward to some sound advice.

Thanks for your reply.
I thought with the age of the tree (approx 12 - 18 months old) this season it wouldn’t flower at this stage of the season.
With that said my thought process was if I cut the branches off with the black crumbly bits on them, the tree would still be in its growing phase and would restore its self.
I finally found the courage to trim the yucky bits of and the tree, at this stage is doing well.
