'Merging' Two Avocado Trees (forum)

Mapplinator starts with ...
My aunt has a very young lemon tree and a lime tree in a pot together and she's tied them together so eventually they will grow into a single 'tree' with both fruits.
I've just started growing some avocado trees and apparently it's beneficial to have more than one so they can pollinate.
My question is can I do what my aunt has done, and merge my two (or even three!?) trees into one so they can pollinate each other without me needing to find space to plant two or tree separate trees?

Waterfall says...
I would go buy a grafted plant unless you want to wait over 10 years for fruit. A-type can self pollinate to some degree, B-type needs an A-type for pollination.
