Mini Peach and Nectarine Tree Dormancy (forum)

Hi! I am based in Toowoomba QLD. I recently purchased a Trixzie Peach and Sunset Nectarine while dormant in winter, and planted them as instructed around the end of July. Just wondering when they break dormancy? As they look like this, old buds from the previous year and kind of dead-looking. I did the scratch test, and they are green underneath and the branches do spring back. Just wondering if the roots dried out while I transitioned them into their final spot. I also soaked the roots in seasol beforehand. Lastly, they are in a sunny spot, received some compost and water to help them on their journey. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Worried they are dead and beyond help :( Thanks!
