Mulberry summer prune

The tree is a dwarf ever bearing mulberry. Would I be able to prune it to make it shorter without killing it? I also wanted to see about clipping some small branches to transplant into a pot.

Hi. You can certainly prune the tree and it won't kill it. I would remove the bottom branches which are just too close to the ground. As for the main stem, it depends on how high it is already - if you want it to start branching out at that height, you could pinch off the top.
