Northern rivers red soil (forum)

I was thinking of getting a soil test done on the Terranora soil I have, Considering the investment in fruit trees I am racking up.
Before I go to that expense, I did hear somewhere that this soil generaly does lack somthing? cant recall what it was.
If I can get the calcium/magnesium levels close to correct, Im hoping I can keep it there with gypsum.
Is there anyone that has done this with Northern Rivers soil? any advice?

Ok, I spoke to a person that is growing amazing stuff and is very knowledgeable.
Phil, Id love you to have a good look at this.
Basically our soil is high in magnesium but low in calcium, Of which is needed to for both to make honey.
I was advised to apply this:
Per square meter;
250g Fine HG Lime.
100g Soft rock Phosphate.
250g Nutri-Store Gold.
Apparently the lime takes a few years to work.
I'm interested in what the peeps out there say.
