J.D. starts with ... Hello. I'm trying to figure out what kind of olive tree I have and any advice would be qppreciated. I have attached some pictures of the tree and its olives. someone re-giftedd this tree to me about 3 or 4 years ago. Last year it had a few olives but the birds got them. Now it has a good bit of olives on it but they are not very large. Prob half the size of a common olive. Thanks!

Edward3 says... It's a bit hard to tell from the photos. But I can at least advise you to use a finer mesh netting than the one I can see in your photos. I was losing a lot of olives to the sulfur-crested cockatoos even when I put bird netting over the tree because they could still bite through the holes. But a finer netting which you can also buy from Bunnings did the job. | About the Author Edward3 CARLINGFORD,2118,NSW 1st July 2021 10:12pm #UserID: 1655 Posts: 172 View All Edward3's Edible Fruit Trees |
