dan starts with ... any tips on getting fruit
have 4 trees
never any fruit had nearly 4 yrs

i was led to believe self pollinators
but 1 tree has fruit
was told that olive trees very demanding need lots of borate, calcium and nitrate

3 kalamatas
1 manzillo
bought 1 from a olive farmer

Pauline says... Well I have defiantly seen kalamatas with the label stating it needs a pollinator. Not sure which one it was though. I know I don't have it, and was hopping was of the neighbouring trees was the right one. Ohhhhh well.

dan says... told from a olive grower
to allow plenty of water
good doses of liquid mix with borate, calcium and nitrate (4-6 times a year). some light chicken poo and sugar cane mulch around to keep moisture.
since i had done this the trees all look so much better | About the Author
