We Have the black papaya only young plant has 5 big dark green fruits on it at the moment I would say it will still take another month before maturity, we are wollongong nsw cold not to frosty got down to 12 the other night but they seem to be going really well, first fruit have some small flowers on another, this one the skin is black flesh very orange and sweet, not the common one, you are welcome to seeds when ripe, fruit in asia seems to be all the time eg thailand they grow like weeds, size of ours 1.5 m stem very thick 3cm sun and protected next to our mango tree not expert hope it helps regards rolf
