Pawpaw uneven ripening

Gordon starts with ...
Most of my pawpaw fruit have uneven ripening like in the picture, green one end, ripe in the middle and rotten the other end. We are at Cooroy on the Sunshine Coast about 20k inland from Noosa. Can anyone help please.

It is a type of fruit rot that Papaya sometimes has.
Read some library books ,do some internet searches and study the shelves of chemicals in the local nursery/garden centre.
