Hello there - my dwarf peach and nectarine tree are about three years old and have not born fruit even though they had lots of blossoms. Can you help? - many thanks - Pat. PS last year they bore a small amount of fruit. They have still got lots of leaves on them.

Rather odd, normally they set too many.

Got lots of bees for pollination?

I have the same problem Trish...I suspect I have been sold "full" chill plants rather than low chill. I actually got some fruit last season (@ 5yrs) on the dwarf nectarines only - but it was an exceptionally cold winter...)

(I have 3 dwarf nect's and 3 dwarf peaches and "no name" one's - very healthy) They are really weird cos I have 4 plums, a tropical peach and tropical nectarine right next to them - and they bear far too much fruit...? Even when these dwarves flower - they do it much later than the others and by then the weather is too hot, windy and dry - and I think this messes with pollination. Dried up pollen doesn't always work well.

Maybe give them another year or two though..mine are grafted but they took 4yrs to even start flowering. I will be giving mine away to friends down south when we go. Their needs are just not suited to my conditions. It happens sometimes.

I have dwarf Nectarines and Peaches that are 2 to 3 years old and all are/have set flowers/fruit this year. I also have a Pixie Nectarine about 5 years old that has about 50 or 60 fruit on it. I will probably strip most of the fruit off the younger trees this year.

All my trees are either Flemmings or PlantNet trees. I like the Plantnet ones better. I think it's the shape of them???

The no name ones are high chill, eg valley red etc are not good at fruiting in WA.

Thanks guys - it's sure a mystery to me as they look healthy enough and are grafted trees. They also fruited last year and this year had lots of blossoms. I thought of the pollination aspect but they are beside dwarf oranges and mandarines and limes which have fruited massively.

The peach is the "Pixzee" and the Nectarine is "Nectazee" both Flemings
