pests and/or disease on my mulberry (forum)

LydiaB starts with ...
Could someone please tell me what is affecting my mulberry and what I can do a out it. Most of the leaves look like the attached.

I think its some sort of bacterial leaf blight to which the only response is to prune off affected branches. But I have also read that pruning mulberries should only be done when they are dormant due to bleeding. So does this mean I should leave it until then? I'm not sure which will cause most damage: leaving the blight or pruning in summer.
