Hi,can anyone offer advice on this one. After 6 years,my Pinkabelle finally set 4 fruit.Disappointingly, after just one month,3 of the tiny fruit have dropped off.The soil is moist, mulched and fertile and the fruit is bagged against fruit fly.Is this normal for the first set of fruit?

You could be lacking a pollinator, apples need a pollinator in order to set fruit. Pinkabelle is partially self fertile which probably explains your lacklustre result. You will most likely get good fruit set if you get a pollinator like Granny Smith or a crab-apple. I grafted a crab-apple branch onto my Pinkabelle that gave me a much better result.
