Hi Isha

Pomegranate tree grows perfectly in Melbourne's mild winters and hot summers. If you are planning to grow it in a tub select a bigger container starting at 25 liters and progressing to bigger planters every two years. Use a premium potting mix and add some perlite and pine bark for better drainage. Pomegranates can grow up to 20 ft. Situate it either in a northerly or westerly aspect in your property to secure optimum sun and heat exposure to your pomeg tree and avoid windy sites. There are few varieties suitable in Melb; wonderful, ben-hur, azerbaijani, rosavaya, elche, el cite etc. If you can't wait there are some cultivars available at bunnings and some nurseries frequently stock them too.

Happy Gardening :-)
