Ellen says... Gosh Nguyet , I don't know anyone anyone up there . Gosh I wish Daleys would have them The leaves are very nice in Vietnamese cuisines dishes . Have you ever tried it Nguyet? It is used for dishes such as :cây lá cách -bò nướng lá cách (this is a lot better than bò nướng lá lốt(betel leaves) -canh lá cách -or dùng như rau ăn ghèm với bánh xèo | About the Author Ellen Smithfield 8th October 2009 2:58pm #UserID: 1339 Posts: 309 View All Ellen's Edible Fruit Trees |

JUJUBE FOR SALE IN MELBOURNE says... Hi Ellen, I did not recognise the tree as lá cách. Yes, My friend had one in her garden in Cairns 2 years ago. I did see the tree and try last time with bánh xèo when I was in her house. At the time, some one tried to air laying some parts of some branches. I was told later that the tree died but I will double check for you this time and see if I can get you some seeds or some trees. Wish me luck. Townsville is only 300 km from where I am going so I will try that area as well. | About the Author JUJUBE FOR SALE 8th October 2009 3:39pm #UserID: 2706 Posts: 715 View All JUJUBE FOR SALE's Edible Fruit Trees |

Linton says... Something is eating the La Cach! Some of the La Cach plants have developed holes in the leaves. Please advise if it is due to some insects eating the leaves or if it might be due to some other cause like a deficiency. Need to work out what it is so I can treat it accordingly. The treatment should not be a chemical as the leaves of La Cach are for eating so I don't want to use anything toxic. I am keen to make a dish with grilled beef wrapped in Premna leaves which is a delicacy also known as Thit Bo Cuon La Cach. Await your most valued suggestions so I can get the plants to produce healthy intact leaves. Thank you.
