Hello
Could you give me some advice on my almond tree. It has been planted in a container for 12 months. I would like to know if i need to cut the middle branch out to make more arms and shorten the height or should I leave it alone.
Thankyou

Hi Kymmy,

Yes, you need to prune the central leader to have more arms which is easy to harvest and more nuts. 12 months is the right time to prune and do it in july-August. See my 3 years old almond tree for an example. Cheers
